If it has 300W on the +12V rail, then it has 25A. That's not a very good PSU to be honest. It would probably work with the 650ti boost, but I would change it out.

is there any possibilities of burning/damaging my other parts if I stick with this PSU??..If so then suggest me a good but cheap psu...which can work with 650ti boost easily...

If the PSU has the required 6 pin PCI-E lead for the 650 Ti then you'll be OK but as Rwpritchett says, 25A on the 12 volt line for a 600Watt unit is very weak, if it has high outputs on the 5 and 3.3 volt lines it's an old design and I'll also advise you change it.
