Hi,
I am writing on behalf of my mam whose laptop stopped working suddently yesterday.
The laptop is a Lenovo G555 Windows 7.
I can't get onto the computer at the moment to do a dxdiag.
We do not have a backup Windows 7 disc.
The problem began when the screen went black. We fixed that issue by removing the battery and pressing the power button x number of times.
However now we cannot boot the laptop properly. A system restore option is available but it crashes.
Safe mode can be entered but every option crashes the system when it reaches the driver:
Loaded:\windows\system32\DRIVERS\AtiPcie.sys
A windows update was installed shortly before this happened.
This is very frustrating. Any help appreciated.
