In-Win Tou - This doesn't look like tempered glass to me...

So I am one of those silly people that was willing to spend way to much money on a case. As a result, I just received my In-Win Tou case today, only to discover the front glass panel had broken during shipping.

While in contact with In-Win support to get replacement parts, I noticed realized something unexpected. The front panel appears to not be made from tempered glass at all, as it has shattered in a pattern more consistent with typical un-tempered glass. Does this seem weird to anyone else? Could it be that just the front panel was standard glass in order to deal with the capacitive touch buttons at the bottom, or is someone cutting corners?

Update: To clarify, tempered glass typically shatters into many tiny dull pieces (like a car window). In fact, the primary purpose for using tempered glass is because of this safety feature, and to avoid having a glass panel shatter like it has in the picture below.

Perhaps it is not clear from the picture, but these pieces are most definitely sharp. Not to mention the fact that tempered glass does not fracture into large shards like this. Once tempered glass is cracked the entire sheet would have shattered into tiny dull pieces.
