All was working fine yesterday (Galatic Civ II) - today it pops up with message that DirectX acceleration is not enabled.
New driver, dxdiag video tab says, disabled, disabled, not available; 64-bit dxdiag says all three enabled.
I have followed lots of posts that point in a circle, noone simply answers the question.
Intel HD400, w7 pro, HD4000 driver version 9.18.10.3359; 16-Nov-2013, WHQL:Yes; DDI Version: 11; Driver Model: WDDM 1.1.
Please not a link, not a question have you looked/updated/etc.
Yesterday it worked, windows updated (also removed), but something is changed.
The troubleshooting does not let me change anything. Sigh.
Thanks for your ANSWER!
Update: after reinstalling a driver for a picopix device the graphics settings are restored. Maybe the picopix did not close properly - so probably "user error, i.e. me" - not removing the picopix from system properly and that left the "regedit" in an unstable/undesired state.
Thank you for your consideration - problem solved - verify drivers of "other devices" especially if they (seem to) have dramatic effect on video settings.
Mark as solved please.
