I just bought an XFX 7870 DD and i found out that it need a 6pin and a 8pin external power and i only have the 6pin on mine.
My OCZ 500W psu have 2x12V-18A rail. I was thinking abot to buy a dual molex to 8 pin adaptor then use it for it. I just cant find enough information on the internet, and its not clear for me how much power does the 7870 needs. I found different information like, the PCI-E grants 75W from the motherboard, then the 7870 needs 500w psu with 30A on 12V but nobody can confirm these details.So the question is, is this OCZ PSU is enough or i have to buy a new one.
Current spec:
Intel core 2 duo q9300 90W TDP
4x2GB DRR3 1333MHz RAM
ATA CD/DVD rom
300GB HDD
1TB HDD
