XPS 8700 UEFI issues with HD7870

Upgraded my XPS 8700 with a new power supply and Sapphire Radeon HD7870.

Upon booting I hear 5 beeps form mobo, then screen boots directly to windows. Showing limited resolution with black bands all around.

I updated all drivers, shutdown and tried again. Now nothing happens since then: after the 5 beeps my screen stays dark.

Some users say it is related to the mobo needing UEFI update...

Have anyone come across this? Just bought BF4 and a bunch of new gears. can't wait to get to the assault! :)

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Solution
There is usually a jumper in the lower right hand corner of your mobo. You just need to move that to the designated position. This video explains it pretty well, at 4:30.

I did reseat the ram (and even the battery as suggested by Dell support). But many posts are pointing towards a Bios update issue:

How do you reset the Bios?
Note that when i put the original card that came with the PC, a GT635, it works flawlessly. If i go back to HD7870 then I get the 5 beeps and black screen.....

Sorry for the late reply. I had to run back to work.
Do I need to unplug everything from my MOBO before the jump? Also is this equivalent to disabling secure boot?

Thank you.

I don't think you have to unplug everything, but it definitely needs to be powered off. I mean the PSU turned off and unplugged from the grid. The monitor and other peripherals shouldn't be affected but you can unplug them as well, if it makes you feel more secure.

I restarted. It sent me to the bios. What should i do from here?

I noticed some forums (linked above) suggested disabling secure boot. It seemed to work for some users with the same Desktop and discrete GPU...

This made me think of getting a better card...

Although that might not be the issue, I could get a new better card within 2 days. But how to pick one that does not have this issue (in addition to similar performance and low power/heat efficiency)?...

Confusing...
