Hi,

I'm a newbie and this might seem like dumb question, but I could not find any good answers by looking at this board or endless youtube videos.

I'm installing a mini-itx board (Foxconn D70S-P) in a Metal ATX Case. I/O Panel and screw locations match fine, I'm just worried that part of the underside of the board is touching bare metal. Wouldn't this short the board? Why not?

Should I put in some spacers or some kind of non conducive material between board and case? My case is an Apex PC-375.

Solution
Motherboards are NEVER mounted directly to cases. There must be raised bumps (i.e. molded into the case) or brass standoffs used (but not both). The standoffs should generally come with the case.
