people say bios updating can be risky, will it simply be a click and install?

It can possibly cause problems but in this particular instance you have no choice there is a zero % chance that board will work with an Ivy bridge processor b4 the update. Typically no you have to unzip the bios to a USB drive, and install in in the bios. There should be some instructions for your specific board's bios flash utility.

Its not that hard just kind of hard to explain in a forum :). If you haven't alrady bought the cpu and you have a stand alone GPU already, the 3350P is a good option its cheaper and just as fast (actually I think faster) than the one you're looking at. If you have already bought it you made a good buy, just suggesting something that is cheaper and faster (doesn't have onboard video so you'll have to have a GPU to use the 3350P)
