Hi all,

I would like to ask you guys on which psu will be better in powering this rig:

cpu: Intel Core i7 3770k
mb: MSI Z77a-g45 thunderbolt
gpu: HIS IceQ R9 280x turbo
sto: WD Blue 1TB
mem: G.Skill Ripjaws 8gb (4gbx2) 1600Mhz CL8
case: CM Storm Scout 2
fans: 3 stock fan case

I will not overclock this rig until the warranty goes off, but i would like to have an option (in the future) to do some mild overclocking.

The Seasonic G-Series 550w is 80+Gold certified but im thinking, if it can handle the i7 and R9 280x thus thinking of Corsair gs700 which is only 80+bronze

IM REALLY CONFUSED

thank you in advance for the answers!

Hi - stick with the gold efficiency Seasonic. Your system requires 30 or more +12v amps, the G550
has 45 +12v amps. More than enough for your rig and the ability to OC when you decide to.
