It wouldn't be massacred and in most situations you would probably be fine. What games do you plan on playing?

Maybe a little bit, but nothing major. Newer games can utilize the 4 cores and it is a fine CPU still.

U'll be fine, have u tried to unlock cores or overclock? its stock clock isnt the best, my friend runs an x4 945 @3.0ghz with a 5850 and gtx 480 has a slight bottleneck, but ull be fine if u r expecting to upgrade cpu or unlock or oc the it

you should be fine for most cases.....unless you play cpu intensive games such as bf3,planetside 2,skyrim, etc.

Thank you for your answers. If I OC my cpu, at which frequency will it start making a significative difference in solving the small bottleneck problem?

with a 270 id say 3.4-3.6 for sure, my x6 @3.7 handles wat would be a 280x no prob so a slower gpu and a quad core somewhere around 3.5 should be good.

no it wont on intensive games like battlefield 4 the cpu its 95% and the gpu is 97% thats 2% and when you overclock the procesor like 3.6 and calculate in game 0.000001 fps lower soo dont be afraid
