I just recently purchased the new A10-6790k, for my FM2 motherboard. Upon installing it, I checked msinfo32 and it tells me there's only 1 Core, 2 Logical Processors. I was led to believe this is a Quad-Core Processor.. Anybody have any ideas?

In the BIOS or in Windows, do you have a core limit set? I'd try running CPU-Z and seeing what it detects. The A10-6790k should show up as 4 cores, 4 logical processors.

It's a quad core according to AMD, but they kinda redefined the term. It does actually have four cores, but they sit on two modules and share resources. So each module holds two cpu cores. It's a lot more than just hyperthreading, but it's not REALLY as strong as four old school cores either. The overall technology has been somewhat of a failure for AMD.
