Hello all.

I'm trying to sell a PC I built a little over a year ago. Could you guys give me an estimate as to what you think its worth? I've included part of the Craigslist add I'm thinking of running.

Lian Li V600FXW Case

All aluminum construction. Anodized black exterior AND interior. And it has a WINDOW. You can see everything when it's running. Great for showing your computer to friends and admiring it yourself. Super light, super strong, and absolutely gorgeous.

Intel 3570K Quad Core i5 Ivy Bridge Processor - 3.4 GHz (3.8 GHz Turbo)

Quick enough for just about anything. And you can run quite a few programs at once. Sweet little processor.

ASUS Maximus V Gene Z77 Micro-ATX Motherboard
http://www.asus.com/ROG_ROG/MAXIMUS_V_GENE/
Sweet little motherboard. Z77 structure, which is designed around the Ivy Bridge processors. 2 PCIE slots, one of which has the monster video card, the second of which is free for you! 4 RAM slots, 2 filled. It even has a mini-PCIE! 2 SATA 3 hard drive inputs, 2 SATA 2, an E-SATA port, and a mini-SATA. That means you can have more hard drives than you will ever need. Additionally, it has a Gigabit LAN input - that's about as fast as internet goes. A total of 6 USB 3.0 ports and 8 USB 2.0 ports.

Patriot Memory Viper Xtreme RAM - 8GB, DDR3 1600

Very fast, very reliable. This is enough RAM for any game. There are two empty slots if you'd like to add more.

EVGA GTX 670 2GB Video Card
I'm afraid I can't find a link for this and I stupidly recycled the box it came in. This thing is FACTORY OVERCLOCKED, and has a factory upgraded cooling unit as well. It is a MONSTER. It can run Battlefield 3 on FULL GRAPHICS. If you're unfamiliar with the game, it's one of the most graphic intensive games out there. This card can do anything.

OCZ Vertex 4 Solid State Drive - 128 Gb, SATA 3 (6 Gbps)
http://ocz.com/consumer/vertex-4-sata-3-ssd
Great for a boot drive. Fast as lightning. And big enough that I never even needed a separate data drive.

OCZ ZT Series 750 Watt Modular Power Supply
http://ocz.com/consumer/psu/zt-series-550w-750w-power-supply
This thing is way more powerful than is needed for the current system. So you can upgrade this computer to your heart's content. Modular cables make cable management a breeze - no more hiding spare cables behind your motherboard tray. Cable management for the current setup is already done.

Xigmatek Dark Knight Black Hawk Edition CPU Heatsink

With two premium fans on a giant heatsink, your processor will be ice cold - just like it should be.

Xigmatek Cooling

http://www.xigmatek.com/product.php?productid=139&type=specification
I replaced all the stock fans with 2 120mm white LED fans and the exhaust with a 140mm white LED fan. All made by Xigmatek, all designed for maximum air flow. I love them. They get a lot of air through this thing while still remaining pretty darn quiet.

Also included is a DVD and CD reader. Sadly, you can't burn disks. Easily upgradeable, however.

Lastly, I am including, free of charge, a Netgear A6200 WiFi USB Adapter, capable of 802.11ac Dual Band WiFi. It. Is. FAST.

Solution
OK, let me try. I put all those parts in the configurator at a local store. The total, including the Netgear adapter, was CDN $1568.

I think that's about $1500 in American currency.

Now cut 20% because Canadian prices are inflated by customs and other taxes. You're left with about $1200 for an American citizen who wants to buy that computer, new, from a company in the US.

Now cut that in half because what you are selling is not a new computer and it's not backed by a reliable warranty and it doesn't have support in case of problems.

I think you will find buyers for $600 or so. Good luck!
