Hi. I have an old computer running XP, ATI 9200se graphics card, Gigabyte GA-7VT600 Motherboard, an AOpen Power supply with 350 watt output (at least I think that huge box on the top rear is the power supply and running 2 gigs of ram. I recently received a Samsung tv that had no vga input. I was going to get a vga-hdmi converter but reading in some forums it looked like it might be better to just get a new GC that has and hdmi out along with the vga. I have no idea what is compatible or not. I really like my graphics card and have never had an issue with it and would like to upgrade it to another ATI/Radeon if possible and not have to change out the power supply because it looks extremely complicated. Does anyone have any suggestions on which way to go, trying to keep it under $100 if possible Any help would be greatly appreciated, THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUt, but, but, but,I like my system. :'( My problem with getting a new system is that every system I've been on that was new and running twice or triple the ram and supposedly better graphics cards, always looked like junk (graphics wise) and jittered and looked kind pixelated running the simplest programs like chess and such when I have very little issues running anything except trying to max out graphics settings on new games. Just my two cents. :p But, I don't mind it being a comparable graphics card to what I have with very little difference in performance as long as I can have an HDMI port.

Yep, it's been a blessing. It was purchased with 2 other comps that were made by ABS and both of the others are junk now and mine is still kicking. Any issues I've had with it has been easy and fixable fairly cheap which have been a sound card and cpu fan. My mom who purchased it for me comments on it every now and then saying she's shocked it still runs after all these years. GOD is good. :pt1cable:

what? looked like junk? there must be something wrong there. i dont think running crysis or witcher 2 or bf4 will look like junk :)
anyway, if it was me ill go get a new one, a faster one. It wont be easy to find a good agp card, let alone be cheap

They weren't gaming comps but box sets from Best Buy and such, but they couldn't even run the Chess game at higher graphics levels without jittering. But they probably came with the lowest cards possible. I don't play any games that require higher end cards which is why I am content with the one I have. I use a ps# for gaming. But, on another note, I noticed you had a samsung monitor. I have noticed that alot of monitors seem to put out very good quality pictures opposed to lcd tvs. I have 2 flat screen monitors and have never had any issues with "soap opera" effect or ghosting or color bleeding but see it in alot of tvs which I thought was mad off of the same technology. Do you happen to know what's the difference? Way off subject but was curious.
