completely slowing down of computer..... all remedies in vain. expert help needed.
one morning i woke up to find that my computer had gone completely slow. task manager showed 50% CPU usage but no processes of that magnitude. tried updating my AV (MSE) but it simply wouldn't update. then i downloaded and ran malwarebytes under "safe mode with networking" which detected and eliminated 14 viruses but computer wud still run extremely slow under normal mode. then downloaded "process explorer" which showed UNS.exe as the culprit. removed it and CPU usage came down to normal (1-2%) but system still very very slow. tried downloading combofix from www.bleepingcomputer.com but it wont successfully download and run.
the computer also has problems restarting and gets stuck. i have to manually switch off and then switch on to boot. "msconfig" does not run in normal mode and shows "time delay" (or sumthing of that sort) but runs fine in safe mode. the system runs fine under "safe mode with networking" .
i have windows 7 OS, 4 GB RAM, celeron 2.4 GHZ processor and 180 GB hdd. help needed desperately.

Solution
Well either a few things have happen its still infected and the malware has taken over your pc which may need a format and reinstall your os did you try spybot? 2 Is the inside of your pc real dirty? dust and cob webs can slow down and overheat a pc faster then you can shake a stick at open her up and check if so clean it. Three you may have hardware dying on you the older older hardware does tend to wear out after time that's something to consider.
