I currently have 2x8gb of Gskill 1866 ram in my rig right now. I went to buy another 2x8gb today of 1866 but only had 1600. My question is can i run the two different frequencies without worry? what sort of problems will i run into I have a i7 4770k in a MSI Z87-g65 Mobo

This is incorrect all memory must run at the same speed in your rig. Your choices would be to either downclock the 1866 to 1600 or attempt to OC the 1600 to 1866, with any gskill kit either of those should be an option, however ANYTIME you go to mix kits the end result is never guaranteed. They sell them in kits for a reason it is the fact they test the modules together to ensure they work as a group. I'd give you a good chance you can get them to all play nice with eachother but it may require bios teaks to get everything stable.
