Just rebuilt my computer with prior Hard Drive and Graphics Card. The computer works fine but monitor wont expand to native resolution settings and my Graphics card doesn't show on device manager. The Cards fans spin but cant update it or play any games that require a better card then the internal card from the processor. My parts are included below:
Asus P8Z77-V Pro
Intel I-7 3770 CPU
2 sticks of 8 GB of RAM Corsair Vengance
NVidia GTX 560 Ti
Hp 2711x moniter
HP disc drive
1 TB Barracuda HDD

I've been having trouble getting all of the necessary motherboard updates to actually install, so not sure if this is the issue but know you guys are good at helping find the issue.

Solution

If the monitor cable is connected to the graphics card and you can see the Windows desktop, then the card is working.
Until the driver is installed, only a very low resolution will be allowed.
You don't need to access the card in device manager, just install the driver package from nvidia (an executable installer package).

Thats what I am currently doing but feel like I have been running in circles trying to fix this. Yes I have two power connectors in the graphics card, and yes the monitor is connected to the graphics card, but wasnt sure if MOBO issues could have caused the graphics card not to used or read.

Looks like the driver update for the graphics card fixed it but don't have any of my games on the reformatted drive so cant completely test it, but thanks for the quick reply and help.
