So my problems started when my computer would not turn on. It would not post at all. I also did not hear any beep codes so I figured that the motherboard had died. I bought a new MSi motherboard and it worked fine. However, after two days, my computer will not boot up at all. It turns on and then off. It does this over and over again. I'm starting to think that my motherboard was not the problem and that it could be the PSU.

The PSU I have is a TX750 Corsair, and to be honest, I've kind of been neglecting the dust in the computer for a good while, but its fan is still running. I've had the power supply for well over 4 years. I think close to 6-7 years? The new motherboard that I had bought was "green" or something like that, and it was supposed to take less power to run than my older Asus motherboard, so I'm guessing my PSU is slowly failing, and dropping in wattage. I guess because the new motherboard was supposed to be efficient in electricity that it took less wattage overall, but ultimately the PSU dropped below even that to even turn on.

I've tried to run it by putting the Motherboard on it's original box, and running it via with bare min. components. RAM, CPU, MOBO, and PSU with VGA output to the monitor. It does the same thing. Turns on and off in a cycle. I'm wondering if the PSU completely died on me.

most power hungry components are gpu and cpu ,do not expect to save power from changing mobo! also since your pc is stuffed with dust apart from the psu could easily affect cpu and gpu. check all components if overheating! try a compressed air can to clean your components.also state your full specs for further help

This might be the new motherboard too, that it is faulty.

Trying the psu in another pc should rule it out.
