I can't figure out how to set up hardware RAID.

Motherboard: ASUS Z87 Deluxe
Processor: Intel i7 4771

I'm trying to set up hardware RAID 1 on my OS-disk (Hyper-V Server 2012 R2). All disks are plugged in the yellow SATA ports. I have enabled RAID in the SATA Mode Selection.

Now I was expecting to be able to press CTRL-I during POST, but nothing happens.

Can anyone give me some pointers on what to do to set up RAID 1 with my motherboard?

Solution

Yes, I tried to understand what it said under section 5, but it didn't make sense to me. As I said:I thought I could press ctrl + I by now.

Well, it seemed to work just fine. But I changed to ESXi running as the hypervisor (I use that computer as a server), and it's not a compatible with software RAID.

On a side note: a guy I know who seems to know what he's talking about when it comes to computers says that SSDs shouldn't be run in RAID. It will make them slower - it has something to do with TRIM. I don't know any more than that, sorry.
