Hello everyone, i am trying to configure my new pc, a 4770k and in the Haswell And Richland Memory Scaling review that there are in the web i can see that the mushkin 16 GB Redline Ridgeback 997121R kit is the best ram kit for haswell cpu, but here in Spain is impossible to find it.
I can find easily gskill ram, but i need to know what is the gskill equivalent to this mushkin modules, maybe the F3-17000CL9Q-16GBZH gskill kit?

Many Thanks

As far as compatibility goes, you shouldn't have much of an issue with any of G-Skills memory. For speed purposes, if you don't know already, then look for something with a high frequency (i.e. 2133 or 1866) and low Cas Latency (Probably somewhere between 6-9) to get the best speed for your build. To see how fast your ram will load, just divide the Cas Latency by the frequency and that is how long it will take for your ram to complete the task.

For example ram with a frequency of 1600 and a cas latency of 9, 9/1600 = 0.0056 seconds.

Hope I was of help.

This kit is equivalent or better in every way to the mushkin kit you refered to. It has the same latency/speed and lower voltage which means same performance, but with better OC potential.

F3-2133C9D-16GXH another really good kit with same specs, also lower voltage than the mushkin ones

Those are pretty much your Options of matching that mushkin kit, and both are actually a bit better.

Both of the above mentioned sets are great with Haswell, if doing video, imaging, etc might even consider the 2400/10 sets, particularly the Trident X and Sniper sets, which offer more bandwidth as well as have OC headroom, after a lot of testing I went with the Tridents X in 2666/11 for Haswell (see sig)

can you explain me about different settings in ram?
In F3-17000CL9Q-16GBZH the latency are 9-11-10-28 at 1.65v and in the other kits are 9-11-11-31 at 1.60v
What is the most important latency to see? only the cas latency or the others are important too?,
what is the best choice, low or high numbers in the other timings?, for example 9-11-10-28 are better or worst than 9-11-11-31?
I only know that cas timing is better when is lower.

Many thanks to all
