Hello, I've been having some computer troubles for a while now, recently replaced all my HDD's with 1 new one which took care of 1 thing, but my computer is still behaving erratically.
Currently what it does is if I leave it alone for 5 minutes, the screen goes black for 1 second and then the computer turns off, and when I turn it back on, it doesn't give me any error messages or anything, it just turns on like nothing happened.
The weird part is, it only does this if I have certain games running. Recently installed windows on the new HDD, so don't have a lot of games on it yet, but it only does this if I have Star Wars: The Old Republic on the character selection screen and with World of Warcraft on the login screen and the character selection screen. It doesn't turn itself off if I log on to a character in those games and then go afk, nor does it do anything if I just play or just leave it on the desktop or anything. I ran a performance test on the whole PC with Passmark and it said everything was performing as it should.
Though I did have the PC looked at in a shop, where they said the video card and the HDD's (which I now replaced) are dying, but everything else was fine.
Another problem I'm having is rarely while playing a game, I get half a second long screen freezes during which something makes a sound inside the computer, can't really tell what and then the freeze ends.
Anyone have any ideas?
