hello guys i have fx 6300 and 4gb ddr3 ram and gt 630 2gb , i play BF3 multiplayer then i decided to show the fps when i noticed that the game starts lagging if fps drops to 45~42 , why does this happen i mean i see people on youtube have their game smooth on even 20 fps ! if i buy a hd 7790 will i have the same smooth as they have? and thanx.

Well, on youtube, videos are capped at 30FPS. Since it's a stable 30FPS, it doesn't appear laggy. In your case, you may be getting 60FPS, which is considered smooth, and when it drops to 40, you notice some choppiness. You would certainly be better off with a 7790, and you should be able to get 60FPS all the time on medium settings.

It might be the fact your recording the game play. That will create a performance hit, and if not not recording to an ssd, a slow HDD could cause issues with stuttering etc.

You probably won't even drop to 30-40FPS. If you set up the graphics settings right, you could expect 60FPS constant.

thanx for the answer , i got another question is it worth to pay extra 60$ for gtx 660 (non ti) ?
and how much fps will i get using fx 6100?

I would say no, only because you put that $60 toward something else, such as more RAM. I would recommend having at least 8GB for gaming these days. Here's a good set:

Yeah, i would say it's worth it. You could expect 60-80FPS average at medium/low settings at 1080p in BF3. I have a 7850, and I run everything on low with Antialiasing Deferred at 2X, and Antialiasing Post at Medium. Also, I play with the Mesh Quality on low to medium, depending on the map. Mesh Quality determines how far away infantry will appear spotted on your screen, and is quite taxing to the CPU. I would think you could set it to medium in pretty much any scenario with a 6100, but if you notice frame rate drops, lower it down to Low. I have to play with it on low on 64 man servers, because I have a very weak CPU. (A10-5800K)

Oh, well in that case, you should be able to pump out medium to high across the board, with the exception of mesh quality, which is not affected by the resolution.
