Computer stuck in sleep mode. Tried resetting CMOS.

Hey guys, so I have run into this problem before. I have just recently replaced the motherboard, RAM, CPU and PSU, my computer from time to time won't wake from sleep mode, but pulling the cord and holding the powerbutton seems to reset it to normal but now that is not working. I can tell the computer is stuck in sleep mode because my Case has a light on the front that only flashes yellow to red only when in sleep mode which it does from the point I power it on. The fans spin up at 100% and theres no signal to the screen.

Removing the CMOS battery DOES get me into the BIOS, but since my HDD's are in RAID I have to go into the BIOS settings and switch it from AHCI to RAID mode. After I save those settings the computer auto reboots and then the same exact problem happens.

So basically there is no way to get into windows without first selecting RAID mode in the bios. As soon as it saves the settings, it restarts and right back into the sleep mode problem. I have tried removing the memory, all USB devices ETC. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks.

Solution
My computer does this ocaisonally (every few months), but normally it will respond (wake up) to a CTRL-ALT-DEL, then hit ESC to cancel out. It's the craziest think and I've never figured out what causes it.

For some crazy reason after the past few hours of troubleshooting, I ran the pre boot PSA+ test, afterward I reset CMOS and bios settings AGAIN and somehow managed to finally boot into safe mode.

All I can say to others that may be having this problem, your best bet is to use the CMOS jumper and/or battery removal method, then try to get to the boot menu and run the PSA+ test. After that, try to get into safe mode and do a system restore.

If anyone is having problems with sleep mode, my suggestion is to just disable it all together, or just remember to shut down your computer when you're not using it. Ofcourse this advice is for those who need to save power on your electric bill.

So basically, sleep mode almost made me lose my HDD data since the default BIOS settings for the HDD's is AHCI mode which means if your setup is in RAID then you are screwed if you can't get into windows. Luckily the drivers were still detected by my system.

I hope this problem with Sleep Mode and a lot of different motherboards gets fixed eventually. Have a great holiday season everyone!
