Low fps on MSI r9 270x

Hey guys. I'm having an odd problem here. On BF4 low settings in getting low fps (drops to 10-20) on maps such as Flood Zone, Dawnbreaker... But on Lockers and Golmud Railway I get smooth 75 fps+ with high settings. On League of Legends, I can't play with smooth 60 fps whith maxed out graphics, while I could with my ye ole 5750... This on a 1280x1024 resolution.

My specs
4gb (2x2) 1333mhz ram
AMD Phenom X4 955 BE
ASUS M4A88T-V EVO
XFX Pro 550W Core Edition

I believe there is something wrong... Could it be a cpu bottleneck? Any clue on how to find an answer?

no it mihgt be ram bootlneck also have you instaled the latest drivers?

You can check cpu usage with task manager. Go to the performance tab and watch the cpu usage graphs while in game (you'll have to run windowed if you only have one monitor). You can check gpu usage by using gpuz or msi afterburner. Flood zone seems like a buggy map, it looks like it rains lightning every time I play on it.

On league of legends the GPU seems to go on 100% usage peak then drop to 50% and so on. Didn't try with the CPU yet.

You have to turn vsync and ay fps limiter off when you check usages. Either your cpu or gpu should always be maxed out that way and we can see where the problem is.

CPU usage isn't maxed out, and gpu usage looks like it practcally is. Maybe it's just a bug with that one map?

On a different map (dawnbreaker), gpu usage doesnt go past 50%, hence the low fps I get there...

Hm I wonder if those maps are maxing out your cpu. Could you check your cpu and gpu usage in the maps that cause you trouble? From what I see here your gpu is being used correctly. I have a feeling that certain maps are maxing out your cpu.
