Hello, The HDD on my Dell Inspiron N7010 died because the laptop kept overheating and shutting down. I went onto ebay and bought a 500 GB Hitachi 2.5 SATA HDD, to replace my fried WD Scorpio Blue 500GB 2.5 SATA HDD.
The hitachi is too thick and won't fit my Dell. How in the world could I have known that, and what HDD do I need to buy? Is there a certain specification that I need to look for? Thank you.
