Hello, I have a pc that it was working without any problems for the past 3 years.
However, today a few minutes after logging into windows the screen froze and now when i try to turn it on it wont do anything.
The leds are on, the fan is spinning but it does nothing, all i see is black screen. If i disconnect the power for 10-15 minutes, it turns on but a few moments after loading windows it freezes again and the same thing happens...
Any help?

Unplug the power on the powersupply.

Take out the cmos battery on your motherboard. Wait 15 min. Then put the battery back onto motherboard in its proper spot. Power on the computer, see if that posts. That will reset your motherboard completely.

Failing that. Ensure you only have 1 stick of ram installed on motherboard. Ensure video card is firmly in its spot. Ensure CPU is properly in its place.

Thank you both for your replies.
I removed the cmos battery to reset bios but nothing changed,
i tried to turn it on with only one stick of RAM, still no luck, so now i might have to try another psu.
I dont have a spare one so i have to order a new one but i dont know for sure if thats the problem...
Anyway, thanks again for your help!

Hello again!
I tried another psu but still no luck...
I've tried almost anything, ram are ok, hard disks are ok, cmos battery ok, power supply ok so i guess it's either motherboard or cpu?
The only thing i havent changed is graphics card, but could it responsible for not booting at all?

Have you tried just using the motherboard, 1 stick of ram and a known working graphics card. Does the board have onboard graphics?
If it has onboard graphics, reset the cmos, plug the monitor into the onboard graphics port and boot. What happens?

Yes a video card can make a motherboard fail to boot. If something is busted/shorting out it can cause POST issues.
