I am planning to get a new ssd to move my os on, but I also want my hdd because all my games and programs are on there. what should I do?
should I remove my hdd and only have my ssd then install windows again.
or plug my ssd and hdd at the same time and move windows folder on the ssd?

You can't simply "move" the Windows folder across to the SSD.

Normally I would suggest you use "cloning" software to clone your HDD on to the SSD so that they are identical copies of each other, but since your HDD capacity is most likely much greater than the SSD capacity, cloning isn't going to be an option unless you can shrink the existing HDD partition in Disk Management sufficiently so that it fits on the SSD.

But in my opinion, if you have a Windows installation disc, It's best to forget all that malarky and install a fresh copy of Windows on the SSD.

Any apps or games that were installed on the HDD will have to be deleted and re-installed when you've got the fresh copy of Windows up and running.
