Hi! First post in a while. So here are the components. Im have everything chosen but the radiators and appropriate fans. The goal here is science and still keeping the build clean, while not sacrificing performance. It will be used for gaming and running programs for engineering and design. Ex bf4 skyrim crisis 3 and for programs, solid works, rendering software, ect.
i5 4670k
Gtx 770 EVGA 2Gb
16Gb Corsair Dominator 2 channel kit
Mobo:ASUS Maxiumus 6 impact
1HDD 3Tb
PSU: Corsair HX650 or Silverstone Driver series (or any smaller modular psu)
Case: bitfenix prodigy
Watercooling---
I would like to use the 5.25 in bay as a disk drive, or as a fan controller. This eliminates the use of a 240mm rad up front. The HDD cages will be removed, to allow space for other components.
My hope would be to use a 180mm or maybe 140mm radiator in the front panel, and 120mm radiators around the case in the rear, maybe side panel, or top panel for additional cooling. The trouble i run into is the selection of these radiators. The front rad can be thicker, but not the other 120mm rads. I dont know what to pick to keep the size reasonable, without using thin radiators with loud fans. I was thinking BlackIce Stealth rads with Cougar PWM fan due to the rads thin but quiet nature, and cougar fans already being quiet. But thats just an idea, any other ideas are welcome
Parts
Bitspower full cover Waterblock for ASUS impact
EK gtx 770 full cover nickel-plexi block
Ridged acrylic tubing 10mm thick
Assorted compression fittings
MCP35x w/ EK DDC pumptop and 140 res.
1x front rad (140mm or 180mm) -undecided
2x other rads(120mm) - undecided
Fans- undecided.
If you have any suggestions for fan and radiator combo for this build, it would be greatly appreciated!
