Acer Aspire 5630-6288 - upgrade processor and ram . Suggestion please.

Upgrading laptop CPUs (Processor) is not really feasible any more. There were a few laptops back in the day that could support it, but most today are soldered to the motherboard.

This machine appears to be able to support 4GB of RAM however. (as seen here: http://www.kingston.com/us/memory/search?DeviceType=3&Mfr=ACE&Line=Aspire&Model=34242).
Be aware that if you have 2GB in a machine that age, you most likely have 2x 1GB modules in the system. Therefore you'll need to buy 2x 2GB to achieve the 4GB total.
If you're running a 32bit OS, it will only see 3.5GB total, but the sacrifice of 0.5GB is better than nothing. If you've upgraded to a 64bit OS, then disregard this comment.
