4770k Slow Web Page Loads

I just built a new rig and most high-bandwidth websites take 50% longer to load than any of my 2nd gen i7's on the same network. I get good benchmark scores (8.3 cpu Windows 8 Exp.), but web page loads are slow. After several hours of troubleshooting I have ruled out everything except the CPU, and less likely, the motherboard.

4770k O/Ced @ 4.5 using h100i
ASUS Z87 Pro
8gb gskill trident x 10-12-12-31 @ 2400
Win 8 Pro

At first I figured it had to be a network problem, but troubleshot that to death with no luck (swapping cables, NIC's, changing settings, etc). It is also definitely not a ram issue.

Unless I figure something out, I am going to sell this rig and build a new one with a 2700k (I need maximum web page load speeds for my business). Does anyone have any theories about what is causing the slower web page load times?

You tried changing browsers? or disabling toolbars/Norton security things? Those usually eat up more time than the actual page loads. Try using different browsers you have something between you and your loads on the software side, there is nothing in a processor slower than the one you got rid of.

Yes, I have troubleshot almost everything and still get web page load lag across all types of browsers. This is negligible on 90% of sites and most people wouldn't even notice a difference in normal use. A 50% decrease in page load speeds from 2600k is significant though.

The only conclusion I can come up with is that Haswell handles web pages differently than previous gens?

Do have the exact same OS, and exact same version of the browsers, and same add ons for security and other things? it can't be the processor it has to be on the software end.

while not an identical situation to yours I did build someone an I3 sandy and I3 haswell rig both in the last 6 months. The haswell rig was faster across the boards and I did do some web things for them, seemed snappier (I still have access to the sandy one as I built it for my mom, the Haswell was sold to a client so I can't just go compare it)

Exact same OS, browsers, settings, LAN... everything.

If anyone else with a 4770k wants to replicate this, go to ticketmaster.com and time how long it takes for a page to load for an event with the 4770k vs a 2nd gen intel. The difference is significant.
