So i tried putting my friend's 550 Ti into my system for now and noticed that it does not show up in my device manager. So, I tried seeing if GPU-Z recognized it and it only recognizes my integrated graphics even after disabling it. So, then I figured maybe I have to install the drivers first, tried to put Nvidia doesn't recognize it with either option. I am at a loss of what to do. My rig is only about a week old and I'm praying it's not a mobo issue. any help?

does your rig recognize any other GPU? how about putting the 550Ti in a different PCIe slot? also, did you plug in the 6-pin power connector to the 550ti?

It's funny you should ask about the 6 pin...

Before you post your answer I realized I didn't have it plugged in.

I'd like to save myself further embarrassment and delete this thread.

....or leave it up for other n00bs like me.
