Hello there! I'm new to this forum but decided to ask for some advice since I hear so many different things about what I should do. Here is my info:

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: This Sunday. BUDGET RANGE: 100 Euro (137 USD)

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: (Games, but the only important games I want to play are Rakion and Amnesia DD, which requires low specs I think. Other games like Mass Effect 3/GTA 4 and 2011-2012 games would be nice if I could play them. The newest games like COD Ghost aren't a must for me atm. I watch a medium amount of movies and series. My monitor is kind of mediocre, but I will be getting a new one soon.)

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: (Nvidia Geforce 8500GT on an Asus C403HREV:1.03, its in the PCIE_X16 slot. I have a Delta 300W with +12~19A power supply, which is kind of low but not impossible to install a new video card I've heard. I don't have a 6 pin power connector, so 2 pin or motherboard powered would be better for me.)

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: (AMD Phenom X4 9500, M2N68-LA (Narra3) MoBo, 3GB Ram=512MB+512MB+1GB+1GB)

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: (e.g. tweakers.net, azerty.nl) COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: (The Hague; The Netherlands)

PARTS PREFERENCES: (The part that fits my needs and my pc's specs)

OVERCLOCKING: No idea, I don't know a lot about pc's. If you mean my processor, it runs at 2GHz out of 3.3GHz.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: (The resolution I'm using is 1280x1024)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: (As I mentioned before, I don't have a 6 pin power supply for the GPU. I also want to mention that I will only use this GPU for up to a year I think, until I can assemble myself a complete new pc, since this one is about 6-7 years old. Sorry If my English isn't perfect, it's not to be rude.)

Thank you very much in advance for the support!

Greetings,

Mark.

I would definitely recommend the Radeon 7750. I don't live in Europe but it is around $100-$110 for the low profile version.

Performance is great if you need good graphics in a smallish budget like yours and will play all the games you listed just fine at your monitor's resolution. I would look into maybe getting a small RAM upgrade, but 3gb will do if your not going to be playing games like COD Ghosts.

Your power supply meets demands for it and it doesn't require the PCI 6 pin either.

Do not worry about overclocking yet until you get a custom PC and know more about it.

jd_w98, thank you very much for your answer! I've heard this alternative at another forum too and now I am almost sure I will purchase this. I still would be glad to hear any other alternatives! By the way, would you recommend the Asus Radeon HD 7750 or another brand?

Greetings,

Mark

Asus is a great brand. No need to go on a rant on which graphics company is better which is mostly opinion based on past experiences.
