Hi all. I'm undertaking my first build that requires a little bit of computer hardware literacy. I'm realizing that my PSU may not fit the build I want to do. It's a 500w rosewill DR-8500BTX with +3.3V@22A, +5V@16A, +12V1@15A, +12V2@16A, -12V@0.8A, +5VSB@2.5A. I plan to overclock my 4670k to about 4.2-4.4ghz and I want to put in a 650 ti boost graphics card.

Now I'm not sure how much amperage off the +12v1 rail the CPU would be using but the specification for a 650 ti boost are +12v current rating of 24 amps. I'm not sure if this needs to be on from one rail or if its in combination. I know you can't just add the rails together if its a combined current rating. I've also read that if the other rails aren't drawing a lot of current then maybe some of that current can be diverted to +12v rails? Not too sure about that but I don't plan on running a lot of fans just hyper 212 plus.

So basicly I need some help from someone who knows more. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Its currently in a system running an amd phenom x3 and I've been wondering why hibernate doesn't work right. Always powers on randomly when it works at all. I think I will be up grading just so everything is "legit". Thanks all
