Just today I noticed my hard drive was acting up. I booted and everything sounded fine until this massive noise arose from my PC which I tracked down to my hard drive. Bootup wasn't any slower than usual. There were no errors with it. But when I opened AMD OverDrive it made that same noise again. I launched EVGA Precision X without any noises, also Minecraft, and Battlefield 4. What could this mean for my system? I will say Battlefield 4 has been causing my entire PC to crash and lock up forcing me to reboot on more than one occasion. So should I back up my files and start looking for a new HD? Its a WesternDigital Blue 500GB and is only about 8 months old.
All replies are appreciated. Thanks!
