hey there folks, switchign mobo and cpu this weekend, been debating for almost 2weeks now on which cpu to get, microcenter is having bundle sales right now. whatever i get ill have for a long time im sure, will mainly be used for wow/D3 primarily, but i do play World of tanks, sc2, Swtor, every so often, and always try new games, just never stick with them, and i do alot of "work" work, and school work, streaming/youtube while im playing the game to, not all the time, but sometimes,. and i do read alot about wow favoring intel, but im looking for the best "opinion" for all around wise. my options ive narrowed down to were

amd- fx 8350
I5- 4670k
I7- 4770k

as far as the rest of my computer, i have a asus hd 4890 1gb gpu, a 600w thermaltake psu and a 700 corsair as well. might get a SSd as well other than that hdd. 1400x900 res monitor and a 720p tv as a backup. any input is appreciated :)

As enemy1g asked, what's your current CPU/mobo?

And if you're doing...
For the games you play, definitely the i5 4670k. You won't find anything better.

If you're looking to stream, record, edit or do any heavy multithreaded work the FX 8350 (or 8320 which is a better option, same chip, lower stock clockspeed but much cheaper, easy overclock to 8350 speed) may be better.

I'd get the cheapest out of those options and upgrade the graphics card, honestly. It's a little slow, you might see a bottleneck.

i was going to go with the 8320 at 1st since it was considerably cheaper, but i cant get the 8350 for the same price so i put that on the list, but honestly how do i know "how much" mutli thread work i do. example ill have wow+d3 up or 2 different wow accounts up, while doign online classes, or having youtube play in the backround or downloading music etc. and i upgraded that gpu card from a 4670 :/ it was 10 bucks from a friend. and i could OC the card, but im not sure how high. also slightly noob at OC processors. and im not sure how to determine if the computer is bottlenecked? and i5 vs i7, one has hyperthread, is that the same/equivilent as an amd 8core?

As enemy1g asked, what's your current CPU/mobo?

And if you're doing that much I'd say the FX, but having no experience of doing those things myself it's harder to say.

Hyperthreading is virtual cores, whereas the AMD FX has physical cores. The virtual cores don't perform as well as physical cores (please no-one start the FX 83xx physical/not argument, no-one cares). However the i7 is the best overall.
