motherboard : Gigabyte G41-MT s2p

there isnt anything available for $100 that would benefit your system. you should save your money, and once you are ready, purchase a new cpu/mb/ram. then you will have a decent platform to put a better gpu in.

Your CPU is a dual core, the consoles have 8 cores. Games will be coded for 4-6+ cores (assuming 1-2 cores are used for o/s and background functions like downloading games or streaming or TV etc).

The consoles use ddr5 ram for both cpu and gpu. Yours is a bit slower on the cpu and gpu side.

Wait for the new console ports to come out, look at the specs, check out benchmarks on toms and then go from there. You're most likely building a new machine from scratch.

It would be cheaper for you to just buy a console.
