I have a dell studio xps 8100 which ive had for 2 years, with the following specs:

CPU: intel i5 650 3.20GHz
Memory: 6gb
Hard-drive: 1tb seagate
motherboard: dont know...
GPU: Radeon Hd5770
PSU: 350W

I'm looking to replace the gpu with a Powercolor Hd7770 as it suits my budget (<$120) and I use my computer mainly
for multimedia and light gaming (e.g. medieval 2 total war)

My question: is the hd7770 compatible with my system?
I dont have enough money for a new psu, but i read that the hd7770 uses less power than the hd5770. I'm not looking to upgrade my system in the future either.

I'm assuming your mobo will be fine with the card, seeing as how the rest of your specs seem decent enough. The PSU is gonna be pushing it...

Although they generally say a higher wattage just to be on the safe side. I would say you will be able to run it.
