Blurry text on 32 inch emerson led tv when used as a monitor

I hooked up my computer to a 32 inch led tv, and the text is blurry. I tried to do everything what other people wrote about like enable / disable clear text but nothing. I am running on the correct resolution. I have a radium R9 270x video card. I tried messing with the settings but still. When I play a video game the text looks fine, its only when I browser the internet or on my desktop. I have windows 8.1 as my os. Is it my led that just sucks? I am using a dvi cable.

i kinda have that issue here also but i am on a crt monitor and was just wondering if it was an amd card issue i have not hooked this rig to my hdty as of yet to see if things change there. but it seems that i also sat here fiddling with adjustments and just got it the best i could. and one day my sister droped in and i had her screw with it too. like this text on this page is kinda allright but it seems that the blue on white like on a google search page is a little more fuzzy.. andnot chrisp aand clean as i feel it should be. but like you said about games its exelent real nice bright and clean. i figured it was my poor old eyes. have you tryed another ty or a monitor? if it was not for all the knoted twisted wireing i got i would take it in were the 40
'' hdtv is and hook it up to see when i ran the old nvidia card i did not rember having this issue. just with the amd card [7850] the nvidia card is gone so i cant swap them out to check.

Could be amd card. My laptop also has a amd card. I used to have a 23 inch lcd Samsung and looked fine, but I was using a nvidia card. I am thinking maybe its my new led screen, just crappy quality since i never heard of emerson before lol. It's just weird that text look fine in game though.

well like looking at my desktop it looks real good nice bright and clean. ,but its pages with text that dont seem to get right. and if i pull up notepad and type somthing out it seems to be ok but like these web pages all just seem off some how. but like i said i have not hooked this computer up to my hdtv yet but like i said i just dont rember having this issue on that hdtv when i was running the nvidia card i got a computer here thats got on board nvidia graphics i need to do some work on i need to get an os on it to see if i got the same thing with it withn football going its hard for me to spend time on this stuff piled up around here. i know i am not much help on this but it seemed like we kinda got a common issue.

heck it may be a microsoft issue...... If you have upgraded to Internet explorer 9, you may see blurry fonts while browsing the Internet. Some of the core files displayed in IE 9 appear blurred compared to the text in IE 8. This is due to the different way that Internet Explorer 9 renders text. The fonts affected are Tahoma, Verdana and Arial. If this applies to you, an update was released for Vista, Windows Server and Windows 7. The updates are found on Support.Microsoft.com, or they can be downloaded automatically by running Windows Update.

well i am all up to date so....
