i already have a ati radeon 5450 graphic card,and today i ordered 7970 online. it will be delivered to me in a day or two. i guess i only have one graphic card slot,but still for confirmation can you tell me that can i use both my cards together??

No, those 2 models are not compatible at all.

Not to mention you answered it yourself that you only have one PCI-E slot.
