i need a good rpg

I have been an avid rpg fan for many many years, playing all the ff games, I have played every tales of game, grandia etc... but the past 3-4 years if not more have been rough with no GREAT rpgs I mean the recent tales games good, rune factory 4 was good, Kingdom hearts dream drop distance was ok, I have been considering getting resonance of fate, ni no kuni,. I have the newest shin megami tensei. I really enjoy pokemon/digimon games and own most of the games. I just don't know where to go from here... not a big fan of skyrim although I did like oblivion (elder scrolls) I no longer own an xbox 360 or a psp/vita but own xbox one, 3ds, and ps3 any insight here would be much appreciated also I have beaten all mass effect games and am not to fond of the fallout out series. the first one was the best imo

I think Gothic 1 and Gothic 2 + Night of the Raven addod, are one of the most underrated games ever. But for me they still are the best games I have ever played. Yes they're old and the graphics are outdated, but they have their own feeling. They're not easy games, no hand holding. But there's really good story and combat system is awesome, once you get the hang of it. In my opinion it is a must play, but make sure to finish the 1st one and then the 2nd.
Also Morrowind is worth a try! It's old too, but I find it much more enjoyable than Skyrim and Oblivion. It's the other favourite RPG after Gothic for me.

thanks for the suggestions. although I don't mind a little outdated I would like something newerish lol. the witcher series reminds me somewhat of dragon age, which I wasn't to big of a fan of... I don't know I need to decide today! im going to gamestop later

i play quite a few i know more i know a version of persona 4 and fes was released for psp

Shin Megami Tensei Persona( PSP only ( feels like a stripped down version of orginal ps2)
Persona 4 Golden ( vita only)

digimon dusk and dawn nds depending on what digimon you want its same game
