Logitech LX710 is a good affordable wireless keyboard and mouse combo.
Razer DeathAdder is a fantastic gaming mouse at a good price.
Get a good mouse mat too if you want the best from a mouse like this.
Lots of gaming keyboards to choose from with different features. Think about if you want macro keys, lights, mechanical keys, etc.

I want backlit, mechanical keys, red switches, nothing more. No macro keys. Thanks for the advice, anything else?

Corsair K60 was mechanical keys, cherry mx red switches and no macro keys, but no back lighting.
The hand rest on this is really good for FPS games.

Corsair K70 has back lighting, but choice between Cherry MX brown or blue switches.
I believe the brown switches will be pretty close to the red switches, probably better for typing.
Hand rest is the standard keyboard length one rather than the contoured hand rest of the K60.

I have the K60 and I like it.
The keys have no actuation point and are very sensitive, so typing on it takes a while to get used to.
For games though, the hand rest and motion of the keys is great.
The K70 wasn't available then, but now I would probably choose it over the K60 for improved typing accuracy and comfort outside of games.

I'm in Sydney :)
You're right, these Corsair keyboards are above the price range you set.
The Razer Deathadder is about $50 and it is an absolute pleasure to use.
A Razer Goliathus standard mouse mat is about $16.
Leaves you about $80 for your keyboard.
Razer Blackwidow is about $85. Has Cherry MX blue switches so they are tactile and noisy compared to the MX reds.
Mechanical keyboards are pretty expensive unfortunately.

That gave me comfort knowing I'm not the only one suffering Australia's high prices :p  Lol, but that thank you so much for your input. It has really helped me a lot. I will be going with what you have suggested. Thank you!!!
