Hi, I recently built a PC with the following specs

CPU: Intel Core i5 3570k @3.4ghz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
GPU: ASUS AMD Radeon HD 7970
RAM: 2x4gb Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz 240-pin
Motherboard: AsRock Z77 Extreme4
PSU: Corsair HX-750 80+ Gold Certified PSU
Case: NZXT Guardian 921RB Blue
Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-24D3ST
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST1000DM003 7200rpm
OS: Windows 8.1 Professional

I am having a problem when I play most modern games e.g. Call of Duty Ghosts and Battlefield 4 on High Settings (which it is perfectly capable of reaching about 100FPS) but then both my screens in Dual-Monitor Setup just turn a certain colour with what looks like tiny lines in between and I have to press the reset button, is this a Software or Hardware problem!?!?

Thanks

Solution
Try running the game on one monitor at a time.
If you see those lines on 1 monitor but not the other, then it's your monitor.
If you see those lines on both monitors then it's your video card.
Run a video card stress test to see if you still get those lines.

I only run the game on one monitor with the desktop on the other, and those lines show up
