What would be a good gaming monitor for my PC?

My gaming rig is an AMD FX-8350 processor with a Radeon XFX 7870 DD Ghz Edition graphics card. I'm looking for a good, affordable gaming monitor for this build, but I'm kind of at a loss when it comes to monitors. However I do know I want around 24 in. for my screen's size. I have a budget of around $150, and I'm perfectly fine with being under budget. I appreciate it! :)

Also, I'm unsure if this has relevancy or makes a difference but the kind of games I typically play are Skyrim, Diablo 3, Sniper Elite V2, etc.

At that price range, this is probably the best overall deal you will find:
    http://www.amazon.com/Asus-VS247H-P-23-6-Inch-Full-HD-LED-Lit/dp/B005BZNDS0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1387004804&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+vs247

IPS panel with a 2ms response time. I have personally experience with them and I consider them a bargain.

I usually don't settle with the first answer I get, but this is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the help! ;)

As far as monitors go, they are probably the best bang for your buck. In my house I have two of them, and two of the slightly newer, slightly better VS248H-P versions. ($30 difference.) I can honestly say that for the price, these monitors can't be beat. I've never had an ASUS monitor arrive with a dead pixel, either. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do bro.
