So, I just got an SSD because I formatted my 1TB mechanical disk, and I am trying not to install anything onto my SSD besides windows, and Battlefield 4. My programs install to the SSD by default of course but I cant figure out how to make my HDD default, because a lot of programs don't have the choose path installation option.
So if anyone can help me with making my HDD my default storage device to install everything to, that would be totally AWESOME!

1) Start>Run: %systemroot%\syswow64\regedit or just go to Regedit
2) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
3) Right click on the value named ProgramFilesDir & change the default value C:\Program Files to the path you want to install all your programs in (like the drive letter).

Other than that, you're going to have to choose the path directory via installation.

I personally did the change myself for that regedit suggestion but some of my programs stopped working, so I went back and just manually set the path as I install.
