Hello,
I have monitor Samsung Syncmaster 2233 LCD and yesterday I have ecountered some problems with it.
I was playing Battlefield 4 and at some points it seemed like the picture was flickering but I thought it was just some game bug. Sometimes when the map changed the screen itself went on auto adjusting which it never did before and I found it weird.
A bit later, when I stopped playing I noticed another strange thing. Brightness would go up, not a lot but easily noticable and then it would go black for like a second and return to normal.
It was all ok until that night brightness increase went out of control. The brightness would go up by a lot, to a point where it's impossible to read black letters with white background. It would stay that for like few secs and then screen would go back. I could only fix it by turning mintor on and off. A bit later it got even worse because it started recurring every few minutes.
I read that it could be result of a power plan so I hooked it up with my sister's laptop and tried the monitor there. It would stay a bit longer, 2-3 minutes and the same thing would happen.
I tried turning off dynamic contrast and it still didn't work. Is there a way to fix this or is it broken and needs a repair? If so, how much would such fix cost?
