Hi,

I've recently been suffering from black screens on my PC. I get black screen (display goes off automatically) while I'm playing any game making a sound like turrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and then no sound in speakers but CPU keeps on running. I looked inside my CPU removing the cabinet cover and saw there was a red light on the graphic card. The CPU was running but it was not restarting even when I pressed rest button, I have to shut it down by pressing the start button and holding until the CPU stops. After I do so and start my PC the display is fine but again goes off if I play any games and this time the temperature of the GPU is at 89-91 degrees. Some of you good guys told me to check my GPU temperature with SpeedFan software. Everyday I start my PC my GPU temperature is almost 65-70 degrees immidiately after start up. And when I play games like Ghost Recon Online or Need For Speed Rivals etc its temperature goes upto 104 degrees. Please help me. Its a XFX ATI Radeon 5770 HD 1 GB GDDR5 graphic card and I got a AMD Phenom II X6 1055t Processor with GIGABYTE Motherboard GA-890GPA-UD3H and Corsair 600GS with 12 GB Ram to support it. Please note that the Need For Speed Rivals runs on some 1330x768 or some resolution close to that. Need help with this one as soon as possible please.

honestly i don't know how accurate speed fan is. but you can also use gpu-z to check your temperature. also check your heatsink for dust. if cleaning the heatsink does not change the temperature you might need to replace the thermal paste. also double check your case air flow
