Intel i5-3330 vs AMD FX-6300?

The fx 6300 since your gaming and rendering and programming. The fx 6300 has six cores so this will help a lot in modern games since They Are Starting To utilise six cores, rendering the fx 6300 will be a lot better and for programming same goes.
In a lot of cases the i5 wins but I strongly recommend, but it if you factor in the prices of the motherboard and processor it is quite a lot.

What is your budget and ill get a good match?

I know the cores are stronger on the i5 but the fx 6300 has an extra 2 cores which will make it better for gaming and pretty much make up for the stronger i5 cores. Also when over clocked the fx6300 beats the i5. And the price for the cpu and motherboard is much more expensive for the i5 than the fx 6300

for my budget i just can buy 6300
for i5, it is secondhand, someone offer me with low price

Details u provided...comparison between "AMD FX-6300 - 3.5GHz / Intel Core i5 3470 - 3.2GHz"
not Intel i5-3330 ..... it is not abt cores how many cores.....U can see a 8 core AMD performance in 4 or 8 Core Intel Processor....

AMD has better graphics...other than tat.....it performance is not good as Intel
Intel still have complicated Algorithms which AMD can never dream of :)

from everyone explanation, i think the i5 3330 is better than fx 6300
but the probelm is if i got i5 3330 i just can afford to buy cheap motherboard like ECS H61H2-MV
but, if i got FX 6300, i can buy a good motherboard asrock 970 pro3

so, with this situation will i5 3330 still better than fx 6300??
