Asus or gigabyte motherboard or is it just preference. I was told to stick to gigabyte brand is there any reason why I should or shouldn't. or are gigabyte and asus good brands and its just preference. Cuz it doesn't matter to me as long as it will handle my 16gb ram 32gb later down road 4770k and possibly gtx780ti gpu if I can get it from friend who says he will sell it to me for half price

almost all gigabyte boards have a normal bios and a backup bios. if you upgrade and anything goes wrong (bad version, power out during write/delete etc) it auto reverts. it got me out of trouble a couple of times. without it, most boards are bricked on failed bios updates and require taking the bios out and resetting it with custom hardware.
