I want to add an SSD to my pc, but I already have evrything on a normal 1tb hard drive. I just want the ssd for a few games and Origin, do I need to install OS on ssd or can it run fine as an extra drive?

Solution
so get the ssd, install it and you will see it as D: or whatever next letter is not used. you can then use it for origin and you dont have to install any os to it. when you first insert it windows will offer to format it. that's all it takes.
Are you adding it as a second drive or as your boot drive? If you are adding it for additional storage then you don't need to install an OS on it. If you are adding it as the boot drive (replacing the existing one) then you will need to install an OS on it.

The ideal way would be the OS+applications (incl the Origin client) on the SSD. Depending on the size of the SSD, maybe a game or two on the SSD, or on the HDD. In the Origin client, you can specify where to install the actual games.

Define "stuff". Docs/vids/music/etc. yes. Any applications need to be reinstalled. The new OS will not know about them. Install either on the SSD or HDD, as space allows.

If you haven't yet bought the SSD, I recommend a 128GB minimum.

No Ive not bought anything, and yes "stuff" is music, pix ect as well as work docs, VERY important programs, I work from home, and Im an expat. I need all my connections to everywhere on my pc, I just wanted to put 1 or 2 games on the ssd as i heard it was better, I dont want/need to move OS as well if I dont HAVE to.

You don't HAVE to, but you will not see significant improvement with having the SSD as just a secondary drive and running games from that.
