Currently building a New gaming PC on the cheap using some parts from ebay . I've seen AMD FX4130 and AMD FX4100 on ebay . Both only come with the CPU NOTHING else .I know I need a heat fan/sink not sure want ones are good and compatible, looking for one that is rather cheap (under £20 can be used not bothered) .Is there anything else i need to consider and also are all motherboards compatible with all heat fan/sinks
* please note,I'm not going to overclock *

Seen the AMD Athlon X4 760K Quad Core 3.8GHz with a stock fan fore sale .
It £27 pound more then one of the cpu's above and a fan would this be a smarter thing to do ?

More about : heat fan sink motherboard combination work amd bulldozer fx4130 amd 4100

Avoid avoid AVOID the FX x1xx series, only buy the x3xx series. Bulldozer straight up sucks for gaming when you could get a piledriver for the same/similar money.

As for a heatsink, I'd say a CM Hyper 212 EVO.

Getting the 760K and a FM2+ board may actually be more beneficial depending on how AMD's new Kaveri APU lineup turns out.

There is no question that you require some kind of cooler.
You could do worse than the stock AMD cooler. It is fairly respectable.
If you get the CPU without a cooler included, just make sure that the cooler you choose is compatible with the CPU's socket.
You will need thermal paste. The stock cooler comes with it pre-applied. Almost every newly purchased aftermarket cooler will come with enough for a couple applications. You would need to buy some if you got a used cooler.
