I am using a AMD Sapphire 7950 vapor-x edition for year without any problems. But before two weeks it started making really odd sound, so I open my case and found that it was coming from the cooling fans and I gave them a slap, after that like a magic it was working all fine. But today one of them stopped moving completely after that same odd sound. I can spin it with my fingers so there is nothing which is stopping it from moving. Now I don't have any idea what to do. I can't turn on my computer. Any suggestions would be great.

Solution
First of all graphics cards are not bass guitar strings on which you can slap. It was the worst idea. From the odd sounds I can guess there is some problem with the fan bearings. if you have warranty then contact Sapphire immediately or you can install aftermarket coolers if you want but it will void your warranty, so before that make sure the card is working or not.

Start your computer and run a game for 1-2 minutes NOT MORE THAN THAT. If it's working as it should then it is only fans which are affected. Turn off your computer. Now the coolers, to install aftermarket cooler you have to remove your stock heatskinks and fans. Arctic acceletro are the best in my opinion cause I used them on my 7970s for years with no issues.

okay..
you have to replace your graphic card fan..
but it will troublesome..

so i suggest to buy a new heatsink for your graphic card..
Something like gelid icy vision rev.2 will work on your graphic card. and it's cooler than the original..
